For over 30 years we have featured waterfowl carvings by some of the best east coast carvers. Right now we are showing shorebirds by Wayne Waterfield and Patrick Biddle. The Waterfield family is well-known along the eastern shore since they have been carvers for generations. In stock are life-size sanderling and yellowleg sandpipers that look like they will run right off their driftwood perch. Patrick Biddle is an accomplished carver who carves and paints a fully-detailed, lifelike bird with great detail but at a reasonable price. Contact us for details about his sitting or flying ducks or his fantastic small blue heron.
There is nothing like the look and feel of an item made from wood. Our crafters use farmed woods, so no deforestation is taking place to create their items. The use of domestic woods like cherry and walnut compliment the imported woods like padauk or zebra wood making even a functional box a unique piece of art. In addition to the craftsmen featured below, we have an assortment of decorative waterfowl carvings by Patrick Biddle and Wayne Waterfield or functional hand carved cooking utensils by Jonathan's Spoons or Moon Spoons as well as marquetry pictures by Hudson River Inlay.
